a/c and heat won't work on 1998 jeep cheokee laredo?
at first it would cut on and off,then there was a wire under the passenger side of the dashboard that you could jiggle and it would come on.about 2 weeks the heat just came on and went back off.What do you think is wrong and will it be expensive to get it fixed.When you turn on the ac or heat it is just dead no sound thanks to all in advance what is the worse case scenario re costs that could be wrong

sounds like u have a loose wire........jiggling it probably caused more problems than it helped....... no way to tell what is wrong without looking at it.....i would say take it to a garage and have them fix it....could b as simple as the wire is loose.....or u could have shorted out the motor and other stuff by jiggling the wire...

No way to know without looking at it, have it checked by a mechanic...

sounds to me like all you need to do is trace the wire and tighten it up. your just losing contact that,s all.

This just "happened". There was no seeming progression. On day it worked and one day it did not. What could the porblem be?
