About: i have a 01 jeep ch. laredo 6 cyl. that loses oil pressure when truck is still ideling

i have a 01 jeep ch. laredo 6 cyl. that loses oil pressure when truck is still ideling?
I have a 01 jeep ch. laredo, 6 cyc. i purchased it new at the end of 00. my truck has 220000 miles and only 15000 is on the new engine i put in 1 year ago. i have also replaced the radiator, cooling fan and relay. I have had no problemsa at all. I continue to get the oil changed every 3000 to 4000 miles for it is a work truck and i travel 140 miles 5 days a week for work roundtrip. Well, last week i took it for the oil change and was told the transmission and anti-freeze were leaking and to have it repaired, so i planned to do that but on my way home from work 3 days after this finding, my truck started losing oil pressure when i come to a stop, but when i press the gas to go the gauge returns to normal pressure. the place that changed my oil was out of oil for high milage and they did a basic oil change with qstate 5w30. could i be losing my pressure because the oil is to light for the milage? what does oil leak p.t.s. mean? the oil pressure drops to zero when the car is stopped

The oil pressure will drop some when the RPMs are lower. I had a 97 Cherokee and it did the same exact thing. Keep in mind that I do not mean that it should be dropping down to zero if that is the case. The oil pressure switch is very close to the oil filter on some of the 4.0L engines. Jeep did a redesign and moved it a little more out of the way, but it is still very easy to damage if the person doing the oil change isn't paying attention when removing the filter. In short: if the pressure drops slightly its normal, if it drops to zero get it checked.

About: Electrical Problems in 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Electrical Problems in 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?
My 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo's flashers went out, no turn signals, no hazards. Replaced the flasher for the hazard lights, the hazards started working, couldn't find the where the flasher for the turn signal goes so BF takes it in to the mechanic to fix. Well now my computer doesn't work, and my stereo doesn't work, and the flashers still don't work. He tested all the fuses, and apparently tested the turn signal flasher fuse (only I'd like to know where he FOUND it, because I took the car apart searching everywhere) The mechanic says we have electrical problems, but he doesn't do electrical work and electricians charge by the hour. It's been one thing after another with this car, but I've put so much money in it I'm not trying to junk it over some electrical BS. I just don't understand how if there's electrical problems why I was able to fix my hazard lights. Did this guy f*** up my car? And has anybody had a similar problem with their older jeep? Napa told me there were two fuses, one for the hazard flashers, one for the turn signal flashers and that's what the dealership told me, but this mechanic told me that the hazard flashing unit is used for the hazards and the turn signals and the problem is probably in the steering wheel column.

your turn signal and hazard light,s are all in one unit you may well have a hazard light switch problem as the turn signal lights fun through the switch, the car sound,s too good to junk, get it to the electrician to get it sorted
2 :
Ya electrical issues suck. First thing i do before tracing out these issues is clean up the battery and cable connections and follow the ground wires and check their connections. When i get that done its off to the fuse box (s). Quite often there is one under the dash and under the hood. And i have seen independent flash units. "However i am old school". Yes i would say he could have messed up the system in his poking around by shorting something.

About: I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V6 2wd that is losing coolant. I need help!

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V6 2wd that is losing coolant. I need help!?
My Jeep has been losing coolant slowly over a 2 to 3 week period. I bought a gallon of coolant that I have been using but recently had to use the last bit. I noticed that there must have been a slow leak at first, but then this morning I got a low coolant light again and when I went to check it, the entire resevoir tank was empty. I did not notice anything leaking underneath and all the hoses appear to be ok. I have noticed that the resevoir tank top has been coming off on its own, as each time I have had to replace the coolant, the top was already popped off. I checked the radiator and there was plenty of light green liquid in it. I'm wondering if there could be a problem with the water pump? Or could the resevoir have a leak? It was filled up halfway when i went to work this am at 5am, and just checked it at noon and can already tell its down about an inch. I noticed a sweet smell for about a minute or two while driving, but did not notice anything leaking. Can anyone help?

1 :
Sorry to tell you that it sounds like you have a blown head gasket or a cracked cylinder head. The sweet smell you noticed is the coolant being burned inside one or more cylinders.
2 :
i would suspect that either your water pump or radiator is leaking,i would also check all your hoses and see if they are leaking. if your engine is overheating then i think that you have a blown head gasket
3 :
I can help. Take it to an auto repair place and tell them the same thing. it's a leak that needs to be fixed.
4 :
Either, as the man said, a head gasket is blown or you have a cracked head.
5 :
change the radiator cap,if that dont fix it,change the thermostat and check for heater core leak if the sweet smell persist when running the heater..if your oil's dip stick show's sign's water or an ugly brown, then that would be a head gasket..
6 :
i own a repair shop, and i,ll try and help on this one,,first you need to check in under the carpet and see if it feels wet or damp, this would indicate a leaking heater core on it,,if its dry check the bottle and see if it has a crack in it that might cause it to leak out, then look around the water pump, and see if it looks like it might be leaking some on it,if it all looks good you need to inspect all the hoses on it,,every one of them, there may be a pin hole in one of them that will cause this, also check and make sure the radiator cap is in real good shape,,if the gasket on it looks bad replace it,if all this doesn't turn out to help, you might want to take it and have a pressure check done on the entire system, and see if it looses pressure,,this is the best way to find a problem like this,,you will find it,mine was doing this, and it turned out i had a bad head gasket causing it,,but the pressure check will find out where its going too, good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Transmission Problems?
1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Trans Problems? So two days ago i drove my truck up to my work.. about 15 minutes away, and it drove completely normal. About an hour later i ran my truck through our wash and parked it outside without drying it off for 30 minutes when it was snowing hard outside... Then i dried it off and started it up, it sounded normal but when i put the trans into DRIVE my Jeep didnt even move.. it felt like it was in neutral.. the same with reverse.. so i ended up leaving it in my parking lot at work until last night when i towed it up to the trans shop.. they said the trans is leaking pressure.. can you tell me how much this repair is expected to cost? Thanks, JULIEN W

About: 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo...Repair or Replace

2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo...Repair or Replace?
Just found out this morning that repairs on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo will cost $1,600 total. Mostly a fuel intake problem. Here's the question. The trade in value at KBB is anywhere between $3500-$5000 for my car in fair to good condition, but would probably be offered less due to the repair work that would need to be done. I still owe about $2700. The car has 110,000 miles on it. If I were to buck up for the repairs, how much longer do you think I could count on this car? Could I get another 30,000-40,000 out of it? Or would I be better off looking for a new car? Well, what I said about the intake wasnt necessarily correct. The problem was an air to fuel ratio not being what it should. Here are the 3 things they recommended... - Dropping the Fule tank and replacing the quad ring with Trailer Hitch - Service Rear Main Seal: Leaking - Transfer case adaptor seal: Leaking Wanted $1601 to fix all three. I'm still shopping around for a better price, but it seemed (as always) that the parts were cheap, its the labor that would jack it up. Thanks.

Dude, that is some serious cash for those repairs. It cost me $ 350 bucks for my intake work. Included labor. I would search out a good lower priced repair place. as long as the mill and vehicle body is in shape, keep it. remember, what ever dealer ship you go to, when you trade that in,will turn around and re sell it at a much highet price, than what he gave you for the reade in.
2 :
1st, $1600 sounds like a lot for that sort of repair...did you shop around? 2nd, there is no way to tell when a car will complately crap out, but if you keep up on scheduled maitance that Jepp would get near 200k
3 :
I have a 1995 Grand Cherokee Laredo with over 150K miles on it. It has the V8 and is still running strong. I would repair your intake, not replace the truck. You should still get more than enough miles on it to make it worthwhile. Unless you could trick the car lot about the actual condition of the engine, they'd give you way less for it on trade. Also, most car lots use NADA for values, not KBB. NADA values are generally less than KBB. If you were lucky, you'd break even on what you owe. Plus, you're reasonably close to paying it off. Keep it.
4 :
i would trade it if it was mine...its 7 years old...did you get your money out of it???
5 :
Stay with the Jeep you have. I have seen many Jeeps with well over 2000,000 miles. Advice from a retired Jeep Sales Person.
6 :
The others are right. $1600 is WAY too much. Also, the KBB on that car is not going to be anywhere near what you will get for it. SUV's right now are worth crap on the market. With that many miles private sale might be $5000. As for getting more miles on it that is no problem as long as you take care of it. They are notorious for hitting the 200,000 mile mark with little problem. So I would get a cheaper repair price, or do it yourself, and keep it.

About: Is this putting our citizens in danger Border Patrol Agents Work With DPS Troopers To Arrest 28 Illegal Aliens

Is this putting our citizens in danger Border Patrol Agents Work With DPS Troopers To Arrest 28 Illegal Aliens?
LAREDO (AP) - Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents and DPS troopers worked together to apprehend 28 illegal aliens Tuesday night. The case began when agents working at the checkpoint located on Interstate Highway 35 north of Laredo performed an immigration inspection of the driver of a tractor-trailer. The agents decided to make a secondary inspection of the vehicle and instructed the driver to move the truck to the inspection area. Instead of following directions, the driver bypassed the inspection area and headed north on Interstate-35. Agents pursued the truck and attempted to stop it but the driver refused to pull over. When the truck reached mile marker 40, DPS troopers took over the pursuit. Near mile marker 49, troopers deployed spike strips that deflated the truck's two front tires, prompting the driver to eventually stop the vehicle. After the driver was arrested, agents and troopers searched the truck and found 28 undocumented aliens in the trailer. The driver and the aliens were turned over Immigration and Customs Enforcement. http://www.kristv.com/global/story.asp?s=10152960

Yes. Every vehicle which rolls across the border with undocumented aliens inside puts our citizenry in danger. Protect the borders, North South East West: Stop and search the vehicles, arrest drivers, and send the UA's back.
2 :
absolutely, these brave heroes should have the right to use weapons on sight, you do not know whether it is just criminals sneaking in or drug cartel etc... These people should not have to wait until fired upon or anything else. If they were not criminals, they would not be crossing the border in this manner!
3 :
Actually its a real wasted effort. All we need to do is stop rewarding/encouraging them to come here and stay here and they will self deport at no cost. No jobs. No welfare. No medical. No schooling. No anchor babies. No illegals!!!!
4 :
I am glad they stopped them and caught all the illegals. Goes to show what they will try to do to get away. There are a couple of real dangers to citizens.... first had the truck gotten through undetected, who knows what kind of people were illegally invading our nation. Second, if the driver had lost control and wrecked the rig and involved innocent citizens. I am sure there is a third, forth and so on.... screw these people, lets hit them with all we have and knock off this cat and mouse game once and for all! It also makes me wonder, what agents let this truck on through the primary inspection/crossing area!! They should also be investigated!!
5 :
This is a good reason why trucks from MX should not be allowed in the US unless they are unloaded, completely checked and if they pass inspection they can Proceed.
6 :
I think the day is coming when our law enforcement people are going to have to take very serious risks. Stopping that truck laid an example on the guy that he will talk about when he finally goes home.

domba78.....i live in the jeep land called Toledo....jeeps are a big part of the storied tradition of toledo....they been making them here for decades....so back to your questions...the 4.0 liter six is a good stout engine...their transmissions are average....their fuel mileage is not that great...and their reliability is OK....there is noway for anyone on this forum to tell u if this one jeep i good or bad....but if your looking for fuel mileage as your main issue then the jeeps out......any car can break down...but jeeps are relatively inexpensive to repair if u do have issues...we own one and it has been a reliable vehicle for us...and good in bad weather...good luck....."VERY IMPORTANT" have this vehicle inspected by a disinterested 3rd party technician before buying
2 :
It's a good vehicle by most definitions, though not the most reliable. Expect mid-teens around town when it comes to mileage, and high-teens on the highway. There's not too much to a Cherokee, although the Laredo with have a few extra doo-dads that are more prone to breaking. Make sure it runs solid and has not been abused (driving in 4WD on asphalt is common for those vehicles - and causes a lot of damage). The 4.0L In-line 6 is very common and pretty reliable, but it's thirsty and can be finicky. GOOD LUCK!

The selec trac is a shift on the fly system and can be shifted while moving at speeds up to 55mph. Use 4wd full time for snowy roads with bare spots, 4wd for only snow or ice covered roads, no bare spots. 4wd does nothing in the rain, keep it in 2wd (or use the 4wd full time option for if it makes you feel better).. http://www.wjjeeps.com/tcases.htm#SELEC

I've got a couple of friends that have Grand Cherokees Laredo and never got "big" problems, but did their respective maintenance. One of them is well over 100k miles. Gas wise, they say that on highway they get about 22MPG or so, sometimes a little more. So considering the size of the vehicle, I would say is pretty good efficiency. In any case, if you are worried more about the gas consumption I would stay away from SUVs and get a car such as Nissan Sentra, Toyota Corolla and others that get well over 30MPG on highway

There is a lot of reasons your four low may be making noise, what were you using 4 Low for in the summer? You are not supposed to go over 15MPH in four low, if you did, you could have easily damaged your transfer case. More info would help
2 :
Change the oil in your transfer case as the clutch packs in the transfer case wear the friction material gets in to the oil and thickens it up. When the weather gets cold the oil gets even thicker and makes it hard to engage the four wheel drive.

About: Swapped NP231 doesn't work

Swapped NP231 doesn't work?
95 ZJ Laredo. I replaced my old NP231J (broken chain) with a used (working) one from a 97cherokee. I had to break them open to swap the output shaft, which I thought went fine. I put everything back together today and now the transfer case won't engage at all. It works in 2WD. Any tips on how to troubleshoot it?
Jeep - 4 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Will it shift out of 2wd?
2 :
I don't know if this is the case, but different years had some minor changes.
3 :
If the t-case is in the Jeep I would start with adjusting the linkage. That may or may not work. But in reality you'll probably have to break open the case again and check the mode shift fork. (there's two different shift forks in the t-case; the range fork for hi/lo and the mode fork for 2WD/4WD). And that's only a couple of parts, there's a lot of internal differences and there are two different mode shift forks depending on the transfer case ID#. While you could do a straight case swap on some models the internals are different and you may have to do a lot of parts swapping case-to-case. That could be your problem and the only way to tell is to break it open, again. Check out the link below to check out a parts diagram for the NP231 and you'll see the different parts for different case ID's on the 231's.
4 :
As Steve A says there are a couple of different styles of 231Js out there. You will need to follow the diagram that he linked for you. Compare the internals of both and you may end up putting the Cherokee T/C in your ZJ to make everything work. Start with linkage and go deeper if that does NOT solve your problems. Best of luck.

you are too young, you have to be 18,even for them to take you on as an apprentice. You are too much of a liability
3 :
A tattoo parlor, preferably one you'd want to work from. 16 is far too young, the best you can do now is study art and work on your drawing skills so by the time you're in your 20s, you can have a killer profile to show to the studio you want to apprentice at.

id pay no less than 6000.
2 :
People who want Jeeps/SUV's generally want 4WD, and most people want AC (depending on where you live). Those are two HUGE problems, both very negative and in the case of the 4WD system your solution comes off as a total hack job (even if done right). I know they sold them with just RWD, but very few are sold that way, what's the point? If I don't want 4WD, why do I want a high center of gravity and the crappy handling/mileage that go along with it. I don't know anything about the mileage (I'm guessing high with those failures), but if you were on the outside looking in, would you pay $3200 for it? According to Edmunds, the average trade in for a RWD GCL is around $3900, but a 4WD stripped of it's front driving is worth less than when designed to be RWD, and the lack of working AC is huge also. I think you'll be lucky to get $1000 for it, you should just keep it until it dies, you'll be better off.

About: 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo speedo/odometer outage

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo speedo/odometer outage?
The speedometer and odometer went out in my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo just yesterday. Everything else in the cluster works just fine as far as I can tell. The instant fuel economy digital readout in the center up on the roof also outputs a constant "0 MPG" when driving. There isn't a problem with anything else. Radio, wipers, lights, other gauges all work fine. I pulled the dashboard apart and took the cluster out. Nothing noticeable so far but I can't get the needle off of the speedometer gauge to take it apart. I looked at the fuses under the hood but none of those were associated with the cluster and the fuses to the left of the dash do not have any description as to what is what. I need to know how to get the needle off if the problem is in the gauge panel cluster or what to do if the problem is somewhere else and is a mechanical issue instead. Other than that, I heard and saw the resettable odometer gauge clicking and not moving about a month ago while driving. I pushed the reset button and it fixed it instantly but it along with the actual odometer gauge are not "rolling" at the moment. Well I feel like a complete dumbass. The cable was unplugged from the sensor connected to the transmission. It was a 2 second fix as soon as I found it and I have no idea how it came off. Now I know for next time...

the cable is broken, yeah they still use a cable to the transmission, you will have to pull the cluster apart.
2 :
hi there. it is quite common for the cable and housing to disconnect from a dodge/jeep vehicle. The front wheel drives are even more prone to this happening. when you screw it back on use a crescent wrench and give it a good snug. i hope this helps. Good luck!

About: What's it like to live in Laredo, TX

What's it like to live in Laredo, TX?
I'm from Shepherd, TX (45 minutes NE of Houston, TX) and may be relocating there for work. How bad is the crime? Is it safe to be there?

Its kind of strange. Everyone is naked all the time and huge boobs are mandatory. Seriously, I would check the demographics before moving anywhere though that would give you a good idea of not just crime, but a lot of miseries you may have to look forward to
2 :
I don't know
3 :
Hmmm it's way better than Houston as for gangs and such.
4 :
It is warmer than where you are. We are about 96% Hispanic, but as an Anglo, I have always been treated well. We have great Mexican restaurants but little else. Not much to do, I am old, I don't know what younger folk do. Also, we are isolated.... its 150 miles to almost anyplace except Mexico. Nuevo Laredo is right across the river and filled with crime, very little of that comes across, this is a safe place.

pop the hood and look at the engine and under it if the one with less miles looks better then buy it if not the the other.
2 :
Take them to a good mechanic and have them checked out
3 :
Take a good look around them and you can tell which one has been driven harder, or take it for a test drive and go by a mechanic and have them do a once over.
4 :
This may sound like an odd way to check which has the best chance of being reliable, but look at the brake pedal and see which of the two has the most wear. The one with the most wear was probably driven in stop and go traffic and thus is more worn out. Look at the oil to see if that is dark or has been changed more recently. If the oil is almost clear then the owner has changed it in preparation for a sale covering up any defects. Lastly drive it and look and listen to any unusual noises and/or feelings of things being too loose. These are the ways that I approach a used vehicle.
5 :
Check the fluids making sure they're in good condition, ask for maintenance receipts, test drive both and check for unusual noises. Also if they are 4WD find an unpaved area and check out the 4WD system in all positions and make sure it is working properly. Just because the vehicle has higher miles doesn't mean that its not the best of the 2.

Trouble with Electronics in my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Please Help!?
My Jeep has an overhead council with 4 dome lights and that thing that displays the the temp. and the direction. I pushed one of the back lights and it got stuck and wouldn't turn off. So I got it out and now all the dome lights, the radio, the door locks, the beeping sound when you leave the keys in or the lights on, and the light under the hood don't work. And I checked the fuse box and none of the fuses look fried. Please Help!!!

then you got a bad wire... or did you check fuse also?
2 :
If it was the fuse, the right tail light and the front parking lights would also be out. It is probably a wire or a bad light socket.
3 :
2004 and 2005 had a problem with the contacts on the lens base where the grey , bulb, twist-holder plugs in. The metal contact in the base or one of the prongs on the plug-in twist-holder may be defective and look burned from overheating? When/if they overheat, the plastic base will melt and allow the contact to bend down and away from the holder contact?
4 :
it,s not the fuse or the other side would,nt work either. sounds more like a bad bulb socket. those sockets has a double contact and 1 of the contacts might be bad.

About: Is moving to Monterrey Mexico a good idea

Is moving to Monterrey Mexico a good idea?
Me and my partner are planning to move in a year or so but I am afraid and don't know if it is the right thing to do? I have lived in San Antonio all my life my parents and family are hispanic and we grew up in Laredo Tamaulipas. Are there any good Companies to work there in Monterrey?

If you are Mexican citizens you will not need to worry about getting a work visa. if you do not have Mexican citizenship, you need to go the the nearest Mexican consulate and formally apply to get it. If you go to Mexico as American citizens, you will find it nearly impossible to get a work visa. To get one you must find an employer who will hire you and write a letter to immigration saying he cannot find a Mexican citizen for the job. Unless you have a PhD in a very needed area of work...that simply is not going to happen. there are huge numbers of unemployed Mexicans, including very educated people...Mexico does not need workers, and you will find it impossible to work. As Mexican citizens, your problem would be finding jobs in a competitive market ,and then , of course, jobs pay less than 1/10th what they pay in the U.S. Even professional people make far less than in the U.S.
2 :
Well, Monterrey is a rich city. As for good companies, yes there are some very ones but the competition is fierce. What field are you in?
3 :
Why not, its basically like the US with no gardens. I would recommend Mexico City though, its growing ridiculously fast, and you never get bored there, its just a delight.

About: 99 Grand Cherokee Laredo starting problems

99 Grand Cherokee Laredo starting problems?
My 1999 Grand Cherokee Laredo is not starting. I drove it earlier in the day and it was fine.. but then when I tried it later, it would not start. The dash lights turn on, and the battery gauge says that the battery is half-full. We tried jumping it, but that did not help. We have also tried undoing the gas cap in case of vapor lock. I am afraid it is the starter, but I am trying to get other ideas. The starter is making a clicking sound, and when we attempt to start the vehicle, it will turn a little, but then stops. I was told to try hitting the starter with a hammer to see if that works... but I am not quite sure what the heck to do with that! Any suggestions or ideas would be great, I really can't afford to spend $250 to get this repaired!!!! I will be taking the battery and starter to the auto parts store tomorrow, are there any other parts I should take in for a diagnosis??

If your starter was making ticking noises, and occasionally half heartedly turning the engine over, then its most likely fine. Sounds like your battery is dying. I realize you already attempted a jump, but try it again. A faulty connection on the jumpwires, or a loose battery terminal are more likely suspects for your failure to start it that way. Jump it again, or change the battery. These are your best bets. Your starter sounds healthy from your description. There is no need to beat it if it is trying to work. Only if it becomes seized.
2 :
It's not because it a Jeep; it's not the battery; it must be something electrical -- unless your batter cable is loose, then it is most likely your starter. It just happened to me a few months ago, but it stopped while I was driving on the freeway overpass about 50 feet high -- not fun. The highway patrol pushed me to the nearest street and I had to call a tow truck to get it to the shop. YES it was my starter, but then the mechanic found all kinds of other stuff he'd like to repair for a car with over 110K miles -- with a tune-up and other stuff, I ended up paying about $1400; but the car has been running fine ever since. You may as well save up and expense it now. It doesn't sound like to can afford another car ... good luck!
3 :
clean both battery terminals an make sure they r tight than I would have the batt checked to make sure its good if after cleaning an a batt check u still have the problem take the starter in for a check If its test bad go to a u pull it an get another starter a junk yard It will be a lot less money
4 :
Pull the battery and have it checked at a auto parts store. If bad replace it.Start engine and check charge voltage.13.5 volts or higher .Alternator is OK.If less replace alternator.Battery terminals may just need cleaning and a good charge.

About: Do I need to replace my PCM on my 96 Grand Cherokee Laredo V8 because of an open ciruit on injector 8

Do I need to replace my PCM on my 96 Grand Cherokee Laredo V8 because of an open ciruit on injector 8?
Can my PCM be damaged by a temp short on one the 8 cylinders on my 1996 Grand Jeep Cherokee V8 5.2L? Friction caused by a hose chewed up the two wires conecting to the injector . The wires have been fixed but, there is still an open in the circuit according to my check engine light result. Before the problem was fixed the code reported was a P0208, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0307, P0308. "Problem with circuit on injector 8", then random misfire , the remaing, misfire on all 8 cylinders. After the wire was fixed, ( connector), the only code is P0208 but, this time its says "open circuit on injector 8". So now, my question is, do I buy a new wiring harness or a new PCM.? And by the way I tested the injector its self and seems to be working. The resistance is the same as the other injectors.

i would try and find a new harness at junk yard and try that before i change the pcm
2 :
Did you remove the negative battery cable to clear all old fault codes? That might be a "hard" failure that has to be manually cleared. If not check the wiring again and then try another wiring harness or switch the injectors to see if the problem moves.
