About: What is wrong with my 1999 Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo

What is wrong with my 1999 Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo?!?
I have a 1999 Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo with 142000 miles on it. I have replaced the transmission, transducer, water pump (2 times), fan, radiator, and thermostat. Here lately it has been overheating. I replaced the fan, radiator, and thermostat in the last week and it's still overheating. I can't even go 1/2 a mile before it's boiling and it will only blow cold air now the heater will not work. What's left? Could it be the water pump again?

The engine must have water in it for the gauge to register a temp. All the overheating problems could be a blown head gasket or a cracked in it at a water port.

If you are buying rebuilt water pumps you need to make sure they are for the correct engine. Some previous 4.0 engines (if that's what you have) used a pump that had a clockwise rotation. The correct pump should have an "R" stamped on the impeller. It also sounds like there is an air lock in the system because of your mention of on heat. You need to remove one of the heater hoses at the firewall to release the air.
